THIS WEEK'S  ''PRAYER REQUEST UPDATE'':
(16-December-2010 Issue)

. . .  We were both pleasantly surprised -- maybe I should even say shocked a little, but pleasantly so, since we had been told by her MD that normally it would take about six weeks for all those bones to heal up and that she would basically need to stay confined to bed during that time.  Put simply, the prayers of brethren for Sarah's quicker healing, obviously, are being answered -- but please keep up the prayers for her! -- hospital no fun!

Yet, an additional blessing -- the MD involved wants to keep Mr. & Mrs. Collins together and is planning to send them both to a nursing home.  On the other hand  if some person (or persons) can be found who will commit to full-time assisting the Collins, their MD will still keep them together by agreeing to release them to their own home sometime in the next few days or weeks.  If sent to a nursing home,  Mr. & Mrs. Collins will lose most of their pension and social security income.  Their preference is to be released to their own home.

NOTE:  A minister in the local Birmingham area is putting out this offer of Free Bed & Board in the Collins' home to a brother or sister who is both able and willing to come and provide the needed live-in help for a few hours each day.  (Mr. Collins notes that, even after losing one lung to cancer, he is improving -- and his wife too -- and believes that the amount of live-in help needed should lessen in the future months ahead.)  This could be a unique opportunity for someone who might like to live-in a minister's home for a while.

Just as a sidenote:  Mr. Collins was ordained as a preaching elder by the laying on of hands of HWA directly during one of the Feast of Tabernacles in Big Sandy, Texas.
This picture of the surprise visit of Sarah Collins coming to see her husband, preaching elder Robert Collins, after only two weeks of hospitalization with three broken bones in the pelvic area, was quickly taken candidly with   a   Nokia  Cell  Phone    by Stephen L. Gilbreath.
